# poidh is back > welcome to v3 **Published by:** [poidh](https://words.poidh.xyz/) **Published on:** 2026-01-22 **URL:** https://words.poidh.xyz/poidh-is-back ## Content We've missed you. It's been a long road since December 8th, and the biggest obstacle in protocol history. But there was never a doubt that we would find a way back. Today, poidh v3 is live. Same website, same functionality, but a rewritten smart contract with security as the top priority. You can view the full details of the rebuild via docs.poidh.xyz. The most important takeaway is that v3 addresses critical vulnerabilities from v2 through architectural improvements, including: ReentrancyGuard Strict CEI patterns Pull-based payments Callback-free NFT transfers A massive thank you goes out to @0xSero, who designed v3 and wrote our new docs. None of this would be possible without his professionalism and attention to detail. While v2's vulnerabilities have been addressed, it's important to note that the poidh v3 contracts are not audited at this time. We've published a comprehensive internal security review, but users should not deploy significant value to mainnet unless they are comfortable with the associated risks. An external audit does remain a top priority. Our goal is to complete a full audit of v3 before the end of 2026. why we're back we couldn't let the fans down Before the exploit, poidh was seeing more bounty activity and DAU than ever before. We expect to pick up right where we left off, thanks to one of the most diverse, creative, and supportive fanbases in crypto. Our fans understand that poidh is a unique app. We connect you with other humans to accomplish real things, big and small, and they appreciate that. This product strategy is a deliberate push back against the slopification of social media and the passive consumption it rewards. We don't ask you to scroll, like, or speculate. We ask you to take action with other humans. Fund an idea, complete a challenge, or make something happen in public. It's "slow" social media. And because it’s built around coordination, incentives, and accountability, decentralization is its strength. we still believe in decentralized social decentralized social should be run by people who deeply believe in the "social" part, and are motivated first and foremost by solving the problems of social - Vitalik We've used the term "reddit for bounties" to describe the vision before, and that remains our target today. We believe the market for this use case is massive because there's a legitimate "stewardship tax" applied whenever people try to crowdfund for something to get done. check out our public goods album to see what we like to fund This doesn't just happen in the world of public goods. Communities around the Internet want to crowdfund things in general, but centralized points of failure when escrowing funds lead to coordination breakdowns and suboptimal outcomes. kenny @kennyistyping apparently there's a lot of energy around these types of bounties in the gaming community but crowdfunding/escrow is a hassle that often leads to drama people want to pool money to incentivize records, but the coordination layer is the weak point kenny @kennyistyping just watched a great YouTube mini doc about the Smash Bros Melee community crowdfunding bounties online to pay for new world records much to think about youtube.com/watch?v=qsT08n… 6 8:48 AM • Nov 9, 2025 With poidh, we are presenting a decentralized social solution that solves this very real problem so that people can coordinate more efficiently. And if we get it right, it's a massive win for the crypto industry as a whole at a time when it needs it most. the state of crypto There's no denying that our industry is in a moment of deep disenchantment. Trust is low, and the narratives are tired. Many people have lost the spark that made them want to be part of this industry to begin with. That's not the case with poidh. We still believe in the promises of crypto. Borderless value, credible neutrality, and permissionless coordination. We can't promise you that you're going to get rich quick using poidh. But we can promise an experience that's: Fully onchain Immutable Non-custodial Fundamentally impossible to design with fiat or centralized infrastructure The industry needs apps that can showcase trustlessness as an edge, not a limiting design factor. And we're not alone in believing this. vitalik.eth @VitalikButerin Signed the trustless manifesto! trustlessness.eth.limo/general/2025/1… @thewizardofpos @yoavw 3,605 4:23 PM • Nov 12, 2025 kenny @kennyistyping "what *new* products can only be developed because of the new financial markets that blockchains enable?" I love building @poidhxyz because social bounties = crowdfunding that's only possible onchain you literally cannot build our product in a centralized manner (or with fiat) Jesse Walden @jessewldn It’s cool too see Vitalik clearly articulate his vision for Ethereum (now better than ever maybe?) Personally, these ideas were riveting in 2014. It’s what inspired me to get into crypto. But today it feels like the world has moved on, unfortunately. Blockchains are for 10 9:18 AM • Jan 15, 2026 let's win together If you want to help move the mission forward, the best way to start is simple: post a bounty or contribute to an existing one. If you do, share it with us. We’ll amplify it across our social channels, and in some cases, we may even add funds of our own. poidh works best when bounties are social, visible, and collective. ## Publication Information - [poidh](https://words.poidh.xyz/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://words.poidh.xyz/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@poidh): Subscribe to updates
